Security Awareness
Suitability:
The qualification is applicable for any private or public sector working environment and provides employees with an awareness of their own safety, as well as the safety of customers, contractors and members of the public.
Content:
Correct procedures to liaise with and assist security personnel
The Protection of Life: this included dealing with life threatening situations or serious injury,
Health & Safety concerning slips, trips and falls, violence & aggression, major incidents and panic from emergency situations.
The Protection of Property & Premises: this includes protecting property and premises from theft, unauthorized access, criminal damage, fire and flooding.
The Prevention of Loss & Waste: this looks at the reasons that loss and waste occur and how to prevent it from happening.
How to identify possible offenders: including the typical behaviour and mannerisms of a person committing a theft/crime.
Certificates:
All students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate from Senaca Training.
Duration:
1 or 2 days depending on client requirements
