ISTA has been established since 1997 researching, developing and delivering The Door Supervisor and other BJT (Basic Job Training) courses. ISTA have been the forerunners in establishing and maintaining standards in the security industry.

Today’s Security Team Leader is facing challenges greater than ever before. In today’s litigation prone society, security officers must be aware of the legislation relating to the Criminal Law; Discrimination; Health & Safety; to name just a few. Rising insurance costs, increased violent assaults and increased risk from international terrorist attacks are some of the risks handled daily.

Course Content Includes:

• Unit 1 The Security Industry
• Unit 2 Customer Care
• Unit 3 Supervision
• Unit 4 Communications
• Unit 5 Leadership and Teamwork
• Unit 6 Problem Recognition and Solving
• Unit 7 Staff Development

Course Duration & Format:

• 24hours – The training takes place over 3 days or 4 evenings.
• Written assessment at the end of the course. Supports are available for students with literacy and learning difficulties. All Learners information will be treated with the upmost confidentially. For further information, contact the Course Administrator.
